We started with seven lady toastmasters who had common interest in tap dance. It was not long before we realized there were a lot more we could do to create delights and wonders into our lives. Now we clog, read, do musical, etc. With this blog, we will minute every our gathering and show everyone how dynamic, versatile and diverse our lives can be.

Fun in Kimono
There are short cuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them - Vicki Baum
I welcome every cause that brings goldies together, Beginning with dancing lessons, later adding reading, then making it more diverse and versatile mostly with Sherry’s input.
This time, for District 67 Installation Ceremony, Sherry suggested that we gesture our support by performing a Japanese dance. Japanese dance! Me? I love dancing, and have tried different kinds of dances, but I have never thought I would try Japanese dance. For one thing, I don’t think I can work the grace, not to mention how awkward I may look in a Kimono.
Everyone seemed quite pleased with the idea. So I thought what’s the big deal, at least kimonos look great on stage. We made it on April 6th to try on Kimonos and to decide what dance to perform. Lydia’s home was ideal for the Kimono blast. Both Linda and Sherry have learned Japanese Dance for some time, and Linda happened to have two available ones to teach us. My heart was dancing all my way to Lydia’s home.
When I arrived the recreation room, most of the goldies were already dressed in Kimonos, and the whole room was brightened up with dazzling kimonos. Linda and Sherry were busy with helping everyone with kimonos. After dressing Pamela and me, she finally got time to put on hers.
The next is camera, demonstrating and learning sessions. Giggling, laughing and chirping eight buoyant peacocks enjoyed the moment to the fullest. Thank Linda, we were much released that the two Japanese dances were not difficult as we thought and actually quite enjoyable.
Kate and Linda needed to leave right after finishing dance, we others sat down for another short yet exotic chat. Time flew fast, we had to call it a day. I’d like to conclude by quoting Pamela’s words:
I Had a great time yesterday afternoon.
Lydia - Thanks for your hospitalities like always...
Linda - You have given me a new life experience, 1st time to dress Kimono, although I looked a little bit weird... 1st time to try Japanese Dance.
Sherry - Your professional instruction always lead us to be more like "Pro".
Michelle - Wow!!!! Your sharing are so exciting.. We should have this lady talks earlier.
Trini - As usual, you are so nice to drive me home.. I enjoyed all the chats.
Irene - I like your sweet-heart and wild-mind.
Kate - You looked so tired but still beautiful... Take care!!!
